10+ points for that Pun...

anyway on with the review.

Excellent line work!
you show a great understanding of shape, proportions and line control!
however ive noticed you dont have much in the way of shadeing in any of your works on NG.

next thing you study should be rendering!
its not that hard traditionally. just get the blending stubs a kneaded eraser and any pencil.

Take it from me. studying Rendering helps you under stand Form better.
(if you ever wonder why you find it difficult to draw cars its because you dont have much experience with form.)

Anyway best of luck to you!

your on the right track!

however you really shouldn't be afraid to create higher Polygon models... ive noticed you do alot of low poly models.... and i feel its hindering your growth.

Trust me... creating Nice looking low poly models becomes alot easier when you know how to create good looking High poly models

other then that id say you just need to study textures and more complex materials...

its not gonna be an easy path... but it is a very fulfilling path. good Luck!

i think the biggest issue here is the Model... Anatomically speaking its rather undefined.
there is very little hinting at the muscle or bone structure that should exist underneath.
her Feet look Really Odd...
and though i haven't seen a wire frame render i suspect your Topology is pretty bad also adds some Odd deformations.

Something that is a bit inconsistent is the fact that you have a texture solution for Fur and a particle hair solution for hair.... its really hard to strattle this line.
you should probably giver her polygon hair or gif her particle fur...
to make it look more consistent.

Clothing is just wonky... you need a better solution... possibly an outfit change. you cant just skin a skirt to her armature and expect it to work well. you dont necessarily have to go for dynamic clothing...

other then that your materials and texture seem to be spot on.
you nailed her eyes.

I feel with a bit more work this could be amazing!

Overall your render is too dark, you could probably use a point lamp to better illuminate her face.

her hair also doesn't have any shading at all.... did you forget to use the strand setup?
i forgot how exactly but theirs a specific node setup you need if your using cycles.
its like some node you plug into the vector (Blue Dot) input of a velvet or diffuse shader that tells the material how to shade particle hair.

but the hair definitely shouldn't be all black and should have some highlights in the hair.

in general the hair is simply too messy (Though this may only be an issue with the material. )

overal this is rather nice... if you can work out your rendering kinks i think this could work nicely!

sacb0y responds:

Well generally her hair is supposed to be a deep black based on her usual designs, but mostly when i made this image i didn't like her hair texture i made so i kept it minimal. I may have gone a bit too far :P

The rendering here is OpenGL, so it's not using cycles or blender render. The image is entirely real time using the viewport rendering. The hair is polygon hair with an alpha texture.

Thanks for the feedback! I might release some more images of her in the future as i fix and finalize her rig, i'll keep this stuff in mind.

ive seen quite a bit of improvement in your art.
you seem to be getting a good grasp on rendering and color pallets.

however at least for me this specific piece seems to lack appeal.
i feel its in the contrast between the stylized simple body and eerily detailed face...

its honestly abit creepy and not in a way i feel was intended judging by your tittle(unless it was ironic)...
if it was intended then you would only need to add some of the anatomically details you have in the face to the body as well to have it be consistent and look intentional...
if you are actually trying to make her look "cute" i would approach it by taking away some of the details such as individual eyelashes and pronounced cheekbones.

cyclops treed a fine line for i and most people... its rather difficult to make them look "cute"... i suspect its because the eyes are often the most important thing about a character....
they tend to fall in the uncanny valley because we register them as human and we expect them to look human... but idk....

this can all come to you with millage i imagine. just keep at it! :)

Thank you very much! Not everyone takes the time to give such detailed reviews so I really appreciate the time you took for this! Thank you so much for your comments and I'll keep them in mind for future drawings!! :)

easily my favorite character from Hero Aca

noice. :3

In my opinion it seems you need to study more dynamic poses.
I see alot of the same elements in your work.
They all seem to have the same proportions as well.
It almost seems like your useing a base. Which im sure your not.

But in gerneral your work is good... you rarely seem to deviate from this kind of pose much.

Some figure drawing exercises could do you some good.
Best of luck to you!

DreamEclipseWolf responds:

thank you for the review.
And yeah i understand. Gotta try some new stuff instead of the typical pinups i've been doing.
looks very similar and I'm trying to get out of it.
